Repatriation solidarity

A protection that honours our values.

The annual fee includes a solidarity commitment that matters deeply to the diaspora: should a member in good standing pass away, the association handles the arrangements for repatriating the body to the country of origin — or any other place chosen by the family — and covers the related costs within the limit of the funds collected through membership fees.

The association works hand in hand with the family to honour their wishes and the appropriate funeral rites. Repatriation is subject to the laws and regulations of the countries involved; exclusions or limitations may apply in specific circumstances (exceptional causes of death, health restrictions, etc.).

Who can become a member?
Any individual or legal entity interested in the association's work and willing to take part in its life and purpose — without distinction. Legal entities appoint a physical representative.
When is the fee due?
Before 31 January each year. The amount is set — and may be revised annually — by the General Assembly; it is shared with you during your first contact with the association.
What happens in case of non-payment?
A member who has not paid the fee on time cannot benefit from the association's services, including repatriation solidarity, and may face removal as provided for in the statutes.
What are my rights as a member?
Take part in the association's life and programmes, vote at the General Assembly (one member, one vote), elect the directors and benefit from the two-shore mentoring and mutual-aid network.
